Do you have an hour or more to spare? Would you like to give back to your local community?  We have opportunities for volunteering across all our teams, and are always seeking more people to join our team.

Volunteering with The Oasis Centre – Cornwall is a rewarding way to give back to your community while gaining valuable experience. Volunteers can build confidence, develop new skills and do something worthwhile and meaningful.  It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, be part of a supportive team, and make a real difference in the lives of others.

Volunteering Opportunities

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, without volunteers Oasis would not be able to run.   There is no minimum time commitment, but we do ask that your commitment is regular.  As we support vulnerable people all our volunteers are required to complete safeguarding training and undertake a disclosure and barring service (DBS) check, these are conducted at our expense.

  • Wellbeing Cafe Volunteer – helping to setup and clear down, chat to members, serve refreshments, join in activities
  • Outreach Volunteer – regular telephone contact for people who are housebound, providing a friendly chat and signposting
  • Volunteer Driver – using your own vehicle to transport members to and from our Wellbeing Cafe at St Eval
  • Family Hubs Volunteer – helping to setup and clear down, engage with children and their families and carers, serve refreshments, join in activities
  • Drop-In Volunteer – responding to queries for signposting and support, chatting with callers in the office, general administration such as photocopying and filing
  • Website & Marketing Volunteer – updating our website and marketing materials
